Week 17 - London Coffee Festival

Lots of freebies and some really good food and drink, but primarily for the caffeine lover

I've only really started appreciating the power of coffee since starting work at a 'proper' job and I like it as much as the next man, but is there really a difference between different types of coffee? This week I decided to go to the London Coffee Festival to find out.

Held over in East London in the Old Truman Brewery, getting to the event was almost as interesting as the event itself. Making my way through Brick Lane Market I passed interesting shops and food stalls and even a Del Boy look alike paying chess against 3 people simultaneously. Although in the short time I was watching him he managed to lose twice.

Whilst at the festival I got the chance to try many different types of tea and coffee made using all kinds of different techniques and get advice on the correct preparation of both. I also saw some of the UK barista championships.

There's not many people who would end up going to a coffee festival and end up only bringing back some tea, however I seem to be one of them.
